My Unique Auntie Eve

My very Dear Auntie Eve

Someone who has been there for me all my life. Who bought me my first tap dancing shoes, my first party dress and took me to tea for the very first time in Handley's Tea Rooms.

She supported me through some difficult times in my life and would always be there to give sound advice and a chat.

Both Kelvin and I have loved her and enjoyed her company in all sorts of situations, When we travelled together to Niki's Wedding, when she moved from her flat and stayed with Uncle Les in Fratton. Lots of days out, meals out, family parties, Christmas. She is my Mum's sister and they were both very close.

There are many things that will always remind me of my lovely Aunt.

Having her hair done, lovely nails, cream teas, scarves, jewellery, Heidis Tea Rooms, The Coop, Taxi John, Going to Canada for 6 weeks to stay with all the family,  the News from Canada, Fish & Chip suppers, sound advice and opinions.

Auntie told me many things about the family in South Harrow, her childhood and family history. I have learnt so much from her.

She was a glamourous , beautiful and lovely lady. Auntie cannot be replaced in our hearts  by anyone - she was unique and we loved her for that.

On one of my last visits to see her at her flat in Southsea - she called me back saying - You will come and see me when I have to go into a care home wont you. You wont forget me will you.

My dearest Auntie Eve - how can we ever forget you - impossible.

Thinking of you

Lots of love

Carrol xx
