As I write you this letter, to be heard in Heaven, I reflect on the endless special moments we had, and with tears rolling down my face, I recount those special moments in my mind as if watching a movie reel, pausing here and there, at certain scenes of our lives.
The seaside outings at the beach where we all got together to have a picnic, huddled under blankets to keep warm, and conversation flowing.
The times you looked after Niki and I when our Dad was passing away, and the bus ride you and I took after saying goodbye to the house we had lived in with him.
The Saturday routine of meeting up for a cream cake and cup of tea before heading over to Debenhams and Knight & Lee for shopping…your favourite things to do.
With Moon River playing in the background, I am transported to the spectacular Ladies Night Dances, where you truly shined. The dancing, the gorgeous outfits, and the laughter…oh didn't we have lot's of laughter!
As my tears lessen, I find that the corners of my mouth are slightly turning up.
Remembering you, beautiful Grandma, I realize that hearing your voice in my ear, will always be with me.
Feeling the loving touch of your hand, and your kiss on my cheek, will always be a constant in my life.
Thinking of you every day, is a gift I was given many years ago, and that gift will see me through many years to come, and for all of that, I thank you.
To the Moon and back Love, from your Sasha. xxx
